JaNaUaRy 2010

Well it is the last day of the month, so I thought I better take a few minutes and post an enrty. We went to church this morning and I wonder if Ashtyn is ever going to be nice. He finally got the picture that you only take one peice of bread and not a handful, but today he got away from me and started running through the chapel. He ran up the ramp to the front he was very loud, how embrassing for me, people are so kind and just smile. I apologize to the Eastin's for the disruption. I took him home after that and stood him in the corner all the while he is yelling "go back to church, go back to church." Maybe next week will be better.
Broc and Jaycee have been playing basketball and having a fun time doing so. They are really improving, Jaycee plays Jr Jazz and because of the way they do it here she plays on a boys team. There is her and another girl on her team. The boys are so nice to them but you can tell they get frustrated when she doesn't do it just right. But she has fun playing. Broc is pretty good at basketball and he has a fun time playing as well. Riley is wrestling still, two more weeks and it will be done. He has really improved and is getting the mat time that he needs to learn. The team has done really good this year hopefully they can take state in a couple of weeks, we will have to see. AJay is busy with the cows and enjoying it so much, we should start calving in a month or two I can't wait to see the new babies. This year will be a little different for me, he has taken the cows out to the desert so I won't get to see them everyday. Next month is Broc's 8th Birthday I can hardly believe that he is getting so old. He is a little nervous about getting baptized and I am worried that he may say no. He just does not like to do things that are out of the ordinary. (Broc says: me and jaycee laft at it.) He is referring to Ashy running through the chruch. Naughty Naughty Broc.

December 2009

December was crazy and fun, but I will be glad when it is over and we can get back to business as usual. Christmas was nice, the kids were happy with their gifts and that was fun for me. I got a new computer and I am excited to start including photos again, the typing is okay but pictures make it so much better. We bought a new truck it was such a good deal we could not pass it up. The dodge was getting too many miles and we just did not want to keep fixing it. Jaycee and I will have fun driving the new ford around to horse shows and stuff.
Riley went to Florida with the wrestling team he got to spend a lot of time at Walt Disney World and places even though he got homesick he said that he enjoyed the time there, but was glad to be back home where there are mountians and snow.
Jaycee and Broc are excited for basketball to start it is fun to go and watch them play. Ashtyn is getting so big he will be three this year, my babies are growing up and I love watching them. I hope 2010 will be great but who knows we will see what happens. Happy New Year to you all!!!

November

Well it is time once again to sum up the month! I often wonder where did the month go, it seems as if I was just blogging. Anyway, this month was AJay's birthday I got him tickets to Rodney Carrington and we went and seen him in concert we had a good time.
It was also Riley's 15th birthday he and I spent the day together on his birthday, we went to the 2A football state championship game then out to lunch, then to the mall. We had a great time and I most certainly loved spending the day with him. He got his driving permit, yes I said driving permit. They take the written part and then have to drive with the parents for 40 hours. He is a pretty good driver other than he gets a little nervous at times. Jaycee had a band concert that we went to she plays the clairnet she really likes it. Thanksgiving was yummy of course and it was good to see family. I love shopping with Aunt Dolores and Heidi on Black Friday, this year I let Jaycee go, she said "well I do need to know what it is all about before I get big." I guess now she knows how grouchy some people can be. Well I gotta go for now, I can't wait for Christmas!!!

Happy Holidays!!

October 2009

The month of October was very annoying to say the least, all of the kids got some kind of sickness. Riley started out with the dreaded swine flu, I was real worried about him because they say if you have an under lying condition that it could be real bad, he has asthma so I took him to the health center and they gave him tamiflu and told him not to go anywhere for at least a week, I had him stay at my mom's in hopes that it would not spread to the other kids. He finally got better and went back to school. Broc then got the same thing he was home from school for about 5 days. Jaycee had some stomache bug, then Ashtyn got the croup real bad, one night his air way closed off for a second that was real scary so we went to Salt Lake to Primary Children's but by the time we drove there he had fallin asleep and I did not feel like we needed to go so we truned around and took him home, the doctor put him on more steriods and I think he finally got better. Earlier in the month Ashtyn got the stitches out of his fingers they look so good he healed real well, the best part was he did not even cry or nothing when they took them out he was such a big boy. The freshman foot ball team won all of their games for the season the boys did a great job!!! They are now ready for a break. The kids had a good fun for Halloween. Jaycee was a doctor, Broc was the scream thing, and Ashtyn was a lion. They got a ton of candy! yum.

September

I know that this is the short way of writing on a blog a month at a time, but that is all I have time for right now. My computer is still on the fritz and needs some serious attention, but my life's schedule just does not allow for me time to get it fixed, I think I will put that on my priorty list so that I can add some pictures to my boring blog.
Anyway it snowed this week and it was real cold on Wednesday. I had to go be in the consession stands at the football game there was snow on the field and I was frozen by the time I got home. The Freshman team has so far won all of their games and they don't just win by a little the stomp the heck out of the teams, by half time they are so far ahead that it is boring to watch. Most of the boys have played together since they were in 3rd grade and they have always been told that they will be state champions when they are seniors. I guess playing all of those bigs kids really paid off. Riley has two games left for this season.
Jaycee rode in her last parade and rodeo in September she had a great time being the Jr Princess for Summit County. She is busy now keeping on top of her lessons and she is doing a pretty good job of it so far.
Broc is liking the second grade and enjoys everything else, he is such a good boy.
As for Ashtyn if you have not already heard, he had a run in with the blender and went spent 5 hours at the new hospital in Park City in the ER. Luckily he did not chop any of his fingers off it was just the top of one and the back of the other, no nail beds or bones were hurt. He did get 8 stitches total, I told AJay that the worst part is still to come. That is convincing Ashtyn that it is okay to take the stitches out. He has been a pretty good patient so far though. Well until next time, Happy Trails.......

August

August was a crazy month, Jaycee turned 11 but she did not get to have a party at home because we spent the whole week at the Summit County Fair. Broc rode a calf at the Little Buckaroo Rodeo I think it surprised him when he got bucked off, hopefully he wants to do it again but I dodn't know if that will happen. Jaycee had fun handing out the prizes for the little sheep riders, they were so dang cute!!!! She did a wonderful job at the grand entries and being on PCTV for an interview. We took the lambs down and weighed them in, the kids done a great job with their animals and were glad to sell them. Now they can do their books and stuff to actually get their checks, I think I will let them spend a bit and save the rest for when they get older. Thanks to the New West Country Store (Vern), Webster Construction (Rusty) and Grandma and Grandpa Atkinson for buying the lambs and supporting the kids at the fair. School started and I am so glad. Broc is in 2nd, Jaycee in 6th, and Riley in 9th. Riley is playing freshman football, so it will be fun to go to the high school and watch him play.

July

Whew, that was crazy!! Where should I start, the 4th of July was fun Jaycee was in two parades, one in Oakley and the other in Henefer. At the Oakley parade a girls horse died and so the parade got started late. Jaycee had fun even though it was a little warm. After the Oakley parade her horse was lame on his hind foot so we ran home and caught Sisco and took him just in case. When we got to Henefer Jacket was real lame so she had to ride Sisco in the parade, it was his first parade and they done very well. We went to the Oakley Rodeo with the Marchant Family, thanks to Bradley and Kathy for buying the tickets for us we had a fun time. Riley was working in the chutes for the Oakley Rodeo's he had a good time doing that. Riley went to a camp at Strawberry, then he went to Moab with the FFA and then to Youth Conference in Vernal, he had a good time. The kids showed their lambs at the Kamas Valley Livestock Show they did a good job for their first time. For showmanship they each got a blue ribbon, for fitting Riley got a red ribbon, and Jaycee's lamb got a blue ribbon. Jaycee rode in her first Rodeo for the Grand Entry she enjoyed that and looked way cute besides. August is going to be fun!!!!!
