August

August was a crazy month, Jaycee turned 11 but she did not get to have a party at home because we spent the whole week at the Summit County Fair. Broc rode a calf at the Little Buckaroo Rodeo I think it surprised him when he got bucked off, hopefully he wants to do it again but I dodn't know if that will happen. Jaycee had fun handing out the prizes for the little sheep riders, they were so dang cute!!!! She did a wonderful job at the grand entries and being on PCTV for an interview. We took the lambs down and weighed them in, the kids done a great job with their animals and were glad to sell them. Now they can do their books and stuff to actually get their checks, I think I will let them spend a bit and save the rest for when they get older. Thanks to the New West Country Store (Vern), Webster Construction (Rusty) and Grandma and Grandpa Atkinson for buying the lambs and supporting the kids at the fair. School started and I am so glad. Broc is in 2nd, Jaycee in 6th, and Riley in 9th. Riley is playing freshman football, so it will be fun to go to the high school and watch him play.

July

Whew, that was crazy!! Where should I start, the 4th of July was fun Jaycee was in two parades, one in Oakley and the other in Henefer. At the Oakley parade a girls horse died and so the parade got started late. Jaycee had fun even though it was a little warm. After the Oakley parade her horse was lame on his hind foot so we ran home and caught Sisco and took him just in case. When we got to Henefer Jacket was real lame so she had to ride Sisco in the parade, it was his first parade and they done very well. We went to the Oakley Rodeo with the Marchant Family, thanks to Bradley and Kathy for buying the tickets for us we had a fun time. Riley was working in the chutes for the Oakley Rodeo's he had a good time doing that. Riley went to a camp at Strawberry, then he went to Moab with the FFA and then to Youth Conference in Vernal, he had a good time. The kids showed their lambs at the Kamas Valley Livestock Show they did a good job for their first time. For showmanship they each got a blue ribbon, for fitting Riley got a red ribbon, and Jaycee's lamb got a blue ribbon. Jaycee rode in her first Rodeo for the Grand Entry she enjoyed that and looked way cute besides. August is going to be fun!!!!!

June

Well June came and went the kids are busy with their lambs and they are growing well, it has been fun to watch them grow and watch the kids with them learning how to make them lead, a little frustrating but fun. Jaycee is the Summit County Little Buckaroo Jr Princess we are going to have so much fun going to parades and rodeos. With the lambs, rodeos, baseball, 4-H, cows, work, and whatever else we can find to do I am sure we will be ready for winter just so we can relax.

May 2009

Okay, Okay... I know that I am really bad at keeping this caught up. So here is an entry for May so far. Soccer is finally over for the season, yipee!!! The kids had a good time playing and the weather was even good for all of the games, some were cold but they were dry. I had a birthday this month, sometimes I think how did I get so old. I guess that is just what happens, it was a good birthday. Broc cut me a slice of pie and used a match for a candle and he sung happy birthday to me, it was so cute. On mother's day we went to East Canyon and took the cows up there, I told AJay that since it was mother's day I was taking all the kids with us. It was a good day the kids were pretty good for the most part. Jaycee made me a cute vase at school, Broc made a cute picture with flowers on it. The kids and AJay also gave me a really nice set of ear rings with a matching necklace, I am so lucky to have them. I love you guys, thanks so much.

Today my Aunt Dolores got married at the Salt Lake Temple she married Kent Mansell. AJay and I went down to the temple and went to a lunch at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was very nice to see a lot of my cousins and see my dear Aunt be so happy. She has been so great with all of us that it was nice to see her smiling and knowing that she will have someone with her for time and all eternity. Congratulations Aunt Dolores and "Uncle" Kent. Sure do love you guys!!!!!

April Showers

Well I thought I better write on here since it is the middle of April and I have not added anything new for almost a month. Last week the kids were out of school for spring break, I took the week off of work to be home with them. It was a fun to spend the time with them. One day I had to take them to the dentist which was not too fun for them. On Thursday we went up to Logan to my sister in laws house for "girls day" it was fun to get together with most everyone. On Saturday Jaycee, Ashtyn and I went to Walmart, the Easter Bunny was there, Jaycee wanted Ashtyn to see him, but Ashtyn would not have anything to do with him. Ashtyn cried and screamed that the Easter Bunny is mean, so you better watch out. We dyed some eggs to hide, oh how much fun was that. I like Easter it means that spring should be here, of course the weather is crazy one day it is nice and warm, next it is cold and snowing, I hope April showers means May flowers. Our little claves look so sad when they are wet and cold, hopefully they are all strong and can hold out for the sunshine. I am saving to buy a new camera so I can get some pictures on here, but it may take some time.

Fun Day

Yesterday was a pretty fun day. Jaycee and I went to Salt Lake we had fun just being together. We went and got our hair cut, had lunch and brought a few outfits. It was really fun to be with my girl. She only got upset with me one time when I wouldn't spend $8.00 on a chocolate covered strawberry. I told her I could buy 3 boxes of strawberries and the chocolate for that much. She finally got over it. Riley went to the temple to do baptisms for the dead, so he was gone from home, Broc hung out with AJay and did boy stuff and Ashtyn went to grandma's and played. Today we went to church and then Riley and Jaycee went with Grandpa and Grandma Marchant to the Temple Dedication.

Spring is here and it is fun to see the new little baby animals. We have lots of new calves and a couple of little chicks. We had one cow last week have a set of twins. I broke my camera so I can't take any pictures, I am going to call and see if it is worth fixing or if I should just buy a new one. I guess we will see what happens there. Well it is getting late and I better get off to bed so I can get up to go to work.

Happy Birthday Ashtyn

This is my little tiny baby "2" years ago. I can hardly believe that it has been two years. Ashtyn Jay Marchant was born March 14, 2007. I was in lobor with him forever, I didn't think that he would ever get here. He was stubborn then and he still is stubborn now imagine that. Today was Saturday and so I didn't have to work.
I love it when I don't work on their bithdays, we just hung out at home and went and visited Great Grandma next door. We bought him a litte tyrke for his birthday so he can ride with the big kids of course. He loves it so much. He got lots of presents and I made him a cute cake, all in all it was a great day. Other than I took some pictures of him earlier with my camera and I dropped it now it will not work. So I guess I am without a camera for awhile. I went and borrowed my mom's before we cut his cake so hopefully I will be able to download them. Happy Birthday to my Angel Boy Asthtyn, I love you!!!
